What a great story, and well told. Chuckled over & over as I read it.

You have a very bright future in Cool Mom Lit. Go for it.

One time you and Bruce filmed a bizarre short film/ promo video in my RV with a strange comedian. I had no idea you were a movie star!

A good monster. The creature from the Black Lagoon was a good monster. This singer who sang in Bob Roberts (talk about scales) is a mighty fine one too. When your children take note of something you've done, this is a terrific compliment. And also of recognizing quality as it exists. Keep roaring.

I finally saw Bob Roberts last year and thoroughly enjoyed it as a great piece of political satire. You can be proud of your contribution to it. I see it as a precursor to Christopher Guest’s folk music mockumentary A Mighty Wind, which I love. I didn’t know Jack Black acted when he was so young, as I only remember seeing him first in High Fidelity.

I enjoyed Tim’s 2010 album Tim Robbins and The Rogue’s Gallery Band. Especially the song Book of Josie, which is in the same tender vein as Richard Shindell’s The Ballad of Mary Magdalene.

I’m sure your kids are already very proud of who their Mom is and knowing more would give them something to brag about to their friends. Thanks Kelly, this was a fun read!

I've had the Bob Roberts DVD in my library for years. Very sorry to hear about sacrificing your eardrum for your film career.

I just watched Bob last week because of you. (I left some comment somewhere about it. Did that post have something to do with Buck Owens? I think it did)

Odds are you never crossed paths with him while filming but you were also in a movie with the future Gus Fring.

Shoot, I’m just gonna have to watch it again cause of you. That voice of yours is wow! Packs a wallop!

This movie (which I though was great satire knowing Tim’s politics), was the reason my response to that post on Facebook as to what Buck Owen’s was saying to you was “They’re going to put YOU in the movies.” As it took only one change from Buck’s original line. Plus I thought once a singer shows they can act they get recast (ie: Art Garfunkel and others…now Jason and Sturgill.) With all the filming in Austin, I was expecting more movies for you…maybe the future will correct that…now that the last kid has graduated.

It's nice that you were able to find something for Tim Robbins to do in the film Poor guy doesn't get a whole lot of movie parts. But WE all know who the real star was!
