Ok, tearbaggin now just a wee bit. Like the end of "It's a wonderful life" only more real. Best to you, Bruce, your kids friends and fans in the days ahead...big love.

Never got to see the Christmas shows, but I did catch you at the Caravan with Cindy Cashdollar, a great show! Hope you can make it back to some place like the Southside Preservation Hall

We got in as soon as we could and enjoyed attending at various venues around the state. It had become our tradition, too. Three in particular stand out:

1. Was at a swanky, modern theater that was connected to the Meyerson in Dallas. Cool holiday lights. We met the owners of the Kessler who were there to see your show as they were considering (or maybe had already) booked you to play the Kessler for the first time. Important because it was at the Kessler where you were so kind as to "help" me re-propose to my wife during the encore.

2. Our first of many times seeing you at Gruene Hall we ended up sitting in front of Emily Gimble's parents (she was in Warren's band at the time) and realized they lived only a couple miles from us.

3. At an old theater in Waxahachie and we saw y'all coming into a restaurant for dinner as we were finishing and on our way to the show. I recognized Lunchmeat and I remember him telling Elaine (before she went off and got married) how he'd been in the business X years and he's finally recognized in Waxahachie, Texas.

Thanks for this, Kelly. I have good memories of several of those holiday shows -- thanks for those, too.

The Austin show in 2014 remains one of my favorite memories. (I lived in Canada at the time but as a Christmas Eve baby, gave myself a trip to Austin as an early birthday present.) Not just favorite concert memory…one for the overall core memory bank. I can’t thank you enough for that. I know the holidays can be hard as heck for a number of reasons, especially grieving any kind of loss (and divorce is a significant loss), so be gentle with yourself and get some good self-care time this month! Wishing you a happy/peaceful/uneventful holidays, whatever feels easiest to manage and best right now. ❤️ I had a few hard Decembers for other reasons, so I know it can feel like nobody else gets if it’s not all happy. Thank you for sharing with us, and for being you! You make this world brighter for your being in it.

The video is as sweet as sweet can be. Children are parts of their parents of course, their own unique beings but it seems to me that yours have inherited your zany (or wacky? whichever is more complimentary) sense of humor. No matter their age- because of them, Christmas brings all the feelings and because of them, the wonderful ones usually win the season. Best wishes to enjoying the old, the new and the raccoon elves.
